The menu cover tells an amazing and heart warming story about the founders and how back in 1952 this husband and wife packed up their two very young boys and moved from Phoenix up to Payson to provide a more outdoor and quieter life for themselves and their sons. Hard to believe but the road from Phoenix to Payson back then was two lane and mostly rough, unmanicured dirt. The Cafe is still owned by family members. The staff are warm and welcoming. The food is served hot and tasty.
