Fall is a GREAT time to ride AZ-87, and this day a baker’s dozen worth of bikes took advantage of mild temperatures and clear blue skies (well, except for a bit of smoke from a wildfire north of Payson) and headed out to “Stand on the Corner” in Winslow, AZ … and enjoy a delicious lunch at Relic Road Brewing just steps away from the iconic corner. The riding experience was made all the better thanks to road re-paving and shoulder maintenance along stretches of AZ-87 (that caused three separate, but short, delays) in areas where the pavement was severely damaged by Spring storms earlier this year.
