The “Over The Hill” ride – YHOG’s last ride of 2022 – was more like the “Around The Hill” ride into Annie’s in Cottonwood, due to ground-level clouds severly obscuring visibility over AZ-89A. But after lunch, full bellies, thawed bones, and a glimpse of sunshine led to the group’s decision to try crossing over Mingus Mountain on the homeward leg. While the clouds had lifted some, they still clung to the higher elevations and made for slow, careful riding from Jerome to the west side of the summit.
