Icy overnight & early morning conditions modified the ride plan from that of going out Iron Springs Road to instead routing east on the 69, down I-17 to Carefree Highway, then south on Hwy. 60 the short jaunt to Dillon’s in Morristown. The place was hoppin’ and it was a full house inside the restaurant (not to mention a 100-person party consuming the entire front patio), so our sizeable party of 18 (that included 3 Legends staffers!) sat on the back patio with front row seats to watch the calf roping going on! After lunch, the majority of us returned up Hwy. 60 to the 89, and enjoyed dry, clear road conditions allowing a spirited ride up Yarnell Grade to the Kirkland cutoff, and back on into Prescott via Iron Springs Rd.
