FYI – Ash Fork – Run For The Wall Support Ride

In keeping with keeping our riders safe, we’ve decided to cancel the chapter ride to Ash Fork. Instead, since many of us still wish to show support for the RFTW riders (who will be braving this weather on their ride), we encourage all of you to meet at the same KSU as planned, but in your weather-proof car or truck. At the Safeway parking lot in Chino Valley, we can determine any carpools and head up to Ash Fork in the dry and safety of a 4-wheeled vehicle rather than on bikes (your choice) .
The RFTW riders will likely appreciate the show of support even more given the inclement weather!!
As was mentioned at our chapter meetings, the Run For The Wall Ride will be passing through Yavapai county. The ride begins in California, traverses the country on multiple routes and converges in Washington D.C. on Memorial Day to raise awareness for the plight of POW and MIA servicemembers. Our portion of supporting the ride is to assemble on the County Line Rd overpass (I-40 just east of Ash Fork) with our Flags and banners to cheer on the dedicated riders crossing the country. The procession of bikes is scheduled to pass by between 5:15 and 5:30. Grab your Stars and Stripes and join in with the celebration of our freedoms and remembering the sacrifices made to earn them.
